Relay ("we," "our," or "us") is an experimental web3 messaging protocol built on Solana. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform.
This is experimental software. By using Relay, you acknowledge that this is a decentralized, experimental project with no guarantees of availability, security, or functionality.
2. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to operate the messaging service:
- Wallet Addresses: Your public Solana wallet address is used as your identity. We do not collect private keys.
- Message Content: Messages you send are stored on our servers. When end-to-end encryption is enabled, we store only encrypted content that we cannot read.
- Transaction Data: On-chain transaction signatures for fee payments are recorded for verification purposes.
- Usage Data: Basic usage metrics such as timestamps and message counts.
3. How We Use Information
- To facilitate wallet-to-wallet messaging
- To verify on-chain fee payments
- To calculate trust scores based on on-chain activity
- To route messages to appropriate inbox categories
- To prevent spam and abuse
4. Data Storage and Security
Messages are stored off-chain in our database. When E2E encryption is enabled, message content is encrypted using NaCl/X25519 and we cannot access the plaintext.
We implement reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security. This is experimental software and you use it at your own risk.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use:
- Solana blockchain for authentication and payments
- Telegram for optional bot notifications
- Third-party RPC providers for blockchain access
6. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your data by contacting us. Note that on-chain transactions cannot be deleted as they are part of the public blockchain record.
7. No Tracking or Advertising
We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not sell your data. We do not display advertisements.

We may update this policy at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
